Design

When I first look at the Hamilton Khaki Field series of watches, I found that they look fashion and modern with the classic military watch soul. The dial is simple and clear that you can read the time without second glance.

Case & Strap

The case is made up of stainless steel that is finished nicely. My Hamilton Khaki Field’s strap is stainless steel that is polished very well (leather strap is also available). The case is not too thick and it is light so that I can wear it comfortable. 38mm or 42mm case are available. The watch is water resistance is up to 100m.

Movement

Hamilton Khaki Field manual winding model is equipped with ETA 2801 while the automatic winding models are using ETA 2824 / 2824-2 that support manual winding as well.

I like the dual support for both manual and automatic winding so that I can manual winding the watch when I am not wearing it. The movement is well made, the time is very accurate. My Hamilton Khaki Field automatic (H70515137) is +3 to 4 seconds per day.

Conclusion

Hamilton Khaki Field is one of the great military watch. The brand has a rich and long history for making military watches. The design is classic but the watch designer add some modern fashions that make the watch looks smart and outstanding. The watch is solid and nicely build. It is not COSC (Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres) but the time is accurate. The only complain for this watch is that when it is completely dark, I can hardly read the time. Nonetheless, it is a good watch which is great value for money in a affordable price range.
